I love the story behind this charming family business. Wsake are a father and daughter team designing and making beautiful modern jewellery together (with a little help from the rest of the family) in their little workshop in a small town in Bavaria, Germany. Tell us about what you sell.
All hand made one of a kind pieces, lots of them custom made, like our Silhouette Charms and all those embossed or carved pendants – you really can get you very own piece of jewellery. And we have some jewellery for children, too – there´s even more to come with our upcoming collaboration with Tannhauser.

What else goes on there?
I´m also a graphic designer and do lots of freelance work in this field, too – and when ever I´m not working I LOVE to cook, take care of my garden/plants and the three stray kittens who adopted me just yet. Actually there´s lots going on in our however quiet lives – and you can find all of it on my blog, too.

What is the story behind the name?
Actually it´s just all our family initials – W is my dad, S my mother, K and E my sisters and i´m the A in it.

How did it all begin?
Having always worked in my fathers workshop, i wasn´t sure about working as a full time graphic designer after finishing art school and it really felt like coming home when i decided i want to do it both: jewellery and graphic design – and i really think we make a great team, 50 years of experience and young design.

What do you love about what you do?
When we both work on a project and we see it coming along, from the first little draft, over messy and hard work to the final piece – it really is beautiful to be able to create something in this way.
